My Liberty picks the bird up,Takes a fce wacking, puts it down and starts puuncing on it!:D:huh: It funny to Watch but not what I want! I no she`s Young! And I THINK iTS A female thing?!But as long as I get the results of the first year hunting with her I think she has A little Le Way With Me!

What breed of dog? How old?
If your dog will not naturally hold and retrieve you will have to force fetch train her....The more you hunt her like that the harder it will be to get her to retrieve to hand.

Vizlsa Thats why I asked what breed....
I think you will find that most owners will not have the issues you have. Force fetching a lab or GSP/GWP is not usually an issue allthough there are exceptions. Your breed, and I dont have alot of experiance with vislas, tend to be more sensitive and needs to be handeled softer than other breeds, english setters are the same way. HOWEVER... my google search turned up a ton of posts...
I forced fetched my vizsla, traditionally a sensitive type of dog, was very patient with him, and I'm soooooooo glad I did. He's had over a handful of 200-300+ yard blind retrieves in 6+ foot tall grass this year, and w/o that training, it wouldn't have happened. And it's obvious he (my vizsla) enjoys the skill, as I swear he's wearing a smile when returning from these retrieves.
Im not sayin the trainers you talked to are wrong, all im saying is I think if your looking for the dog to do exactly what you want your going to need to train off the field...you cant train fetch while your hunting....google some blogs and even email some visla owners.....
Or be happy with what you have.

Yeah! Im very happy with what I have! If I had a male I would definatly
Be Training differantly! The Funny thing is I did have An english setter
way back when And it was a male Hard Headed male! And he needed
to be forced to do every thing! I guess you just need to no your Dogs Personality, So you don`t ruin the Dog! I almost ruined my first Vizlsa because I tried to force her, when I backed off much better results! Well
its Out in the Yard to do Some Bumper Training!
Thanks for your replies! Good Shooting!
