This is the Pa Game Commission's new deer management tool. Lancaster County is the first trial sector. If all goes well the program could be put into effect statewide by 2010. They just need to get around the eating of people problem. Disclaimer: There is no factual basis for my statement. The views expressed here are in no way reflective of the Buck Barn or its sponsors. Yeah I heard about this a couple of days ago. I also saw bigfoot walking a mt. lion on a leash. I guess he got loose. On a real note I wonder if his wounds where claimed to be cat wounds?

Oh yeah and I'm sure his health insurence is going to love this. I wonder if they'll ask him to get a pysch exam too?

OK, I just passed my psych. evaluation so here goes:

I have been hunting the hinterlands of NE and North Central PA since the 1970s. I have heard from many people that lions are around in small numbers. They were saying that since the 1970s and still saying it now. I have talked to credible folks who say they've seen them. I've even found a cache myself (1995).

The mountain lion was native to PA. Who's to say they killed every single one? Some guys hunt all their lives and never see a deer in the woods. :D Who can say 100% that there is no mountain lion in PA?

Yeah, you'll say that there would be sightings by now if they were here. Well, there are periodically. Nobody believes them :D.

Yeah, it is a touchy subject. He said she said kinda stuff. I guess it's going to take a PGC offical to actually see a Mt. Lion for belief.

When I had my gun shop I had a warden come in to the shop not long after one of these sighting. He was sent out to check it out and he found a dead deer and he had taken molds of tracks that he said were cougers, but not long after that it was found out that a that guy down near the Delaware line had one as a pet and he had gotten away. There was alot of sightings for about a year then they stopped. That's when I here of somebody seeing one I wonder if it is another one getting out of a cage.

I have hunted south western pa. since the early 70's and have seen large cat tracks there in the snow. Paw prints as large across as my hand. That was late 70's early 80's.

Don't get me wrong, I believe that lions are in our state, not in this case though... We will see as the investigation continues. The only thing I can say is Mr Fisher sould get good counsel. There is a law about making "false reports".

Ahhhhhh! you see. Mr Fisher is going to have legal troubles I think.... A blood trail that was not blood. A knife that he stabbed the "CAT" with had no cat hair, but deer hair???? Still think he got attacked by a Mountain Lion???? Hope he has a good confession, or what ever it is the AMISH DO!!!!! Trying to stimulate business for the family farm, I'm sure... Can see why he might, but obviously you shouldn't tell stories that Law Enforcement get involved in, because you can get locked up!

I bet his story may start to change a lil now. If and IF he is really telling the truth it is going to be very hard for him to prove it.
