Dont quote me on exact prices but a non resident bow license is like $135, for the gereral season, if you want to hunt the rut,(permit bow) a zone specific permit is required, $25, to kill a buck during this permit season is another $25. To hunt the permit season you would have to map out what zone he is in and buy that zones permit. Remember you allready missed this years winter bow, so if its a good spot and the price doesn't kill next year same price you would get a winter bow tag, with a buck tag and most zones have unlimited doe tags throught the seasons. Its pricey but if he has a good chunk of land, most private in Jersey holds some good bucks.

Nj license fees can be found at http://www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/hntlicfe.htm
the non-resident bow license will cost you 135.50. Some zones in NJ open 9/11, and that license would cover you until 10/29. Our permit bow season opens 10/30, and runs until 11/27. You'd need to buy a zone-specific permit (28.00) to hunt your friend's property during the permit bow season. However, if you want to kill a buck there, you'd need to buy a buck stub (28.00). So, for 191.50, you could hunt your friend's property from opening day until 11/27. If you tell me where the property is (what town) I can tell you what zone it's in and what the actual opening date is, and what the bag limits are. Private land can be hard to come by in NJ, and it may be worth it for you.

hey ropaque....it may be worth it to take a scouting trip down there before you spend the money. Area may get a lot of pressure backing up to gamelands?
