...Alarm awoke me @ 330..jumped outta bed questioning my sanity. Drove 45 minutes and walked into a mosquito ridden swamp. Set up on 2 on roost that flew down and went the other way. Located one later that cut off my first series of yelps!..quickly set up..called...and nothing!...played the silent game with him and he strolled in silently..one problem though...huge blow down between us...he disappears behind it and then jumps up on it and breaks into half strut @ 35 yds. bad move on his part! My #5s did the trick as he tumbled off the log. Im going to get this one mounted!
22.5 lbs...10" beard...1 1/4 sharp spurs.

Nice bird! Congrats!! That's some nice hooks....keep in mind that if you get them mounted in full struts it kinda hides the spurs.... goobling on the limb shows the spurs and beard nice!
My biggest I did in full strut.. looks great just spurs kinda hidden so second mount is on limb and shows the spurs.

LOL, the mosquitos in that spot are bad. Water is finally dropping some I see. We're still not back in our building!

That may be one of two toms I've seen walking east with hens around 0700 just east of there on that dirt road that runs south. They have been pretty regular on that route travelling east Hunt4life. The second is a nice bird too.

Great bird! I love that fan, it looks real nice, and nice hooks too. That beard is a paint brush brother, I can see why you want to mount him. Congratulations!!!!

its the last of the turkey season for me.

A standing alert on a log mount would be great to show off his hooks.
