I came across this 1 particular pond while trapping this past season, and it looked good for some crappie, perch fishing, so i checked it out with the boy a couple weeks back. I was shocked to see the huge carp in there! I mentioned it to a buddy from work and he got in there today. I hadnt gotten to it yet, but hope to maybe friday.

Anyway, we knew there were some 30-40s. He got one into the kayak today and lost two others. This bad boy went 45" and 48 lbs at the weigh in at the shop!! We think we can get a 50!!

Congrats Jon!

great carp.
i never saw a grass carp down here. the wind has kept me off the bay a few weekends. i need to jump on some carp when the wind blows. nothing of any size in the place i go, but big numbers.

I've shot plenty of them UB, but mostly in the 10lb range. When I found these, I was excited! I hope to go on Friday. It's been years.

they push up my tomato plants.

they are also used for trapping season baits.
