Last fox and last coon are fleshed. soon as they dry, on their boards. I can put away the necker for the year...just a little scrapin on a few rats as they thaw and that's it.
I kinda feared the skinnning and putting up in the beginning, but now I'll kinda miss it. Sorta sad to see the last coon come off the beam.

taking the fur off the boards was bitter sweet. i like looking at all that hard work hanging from the rafters. i look forward to making the switch from deer to fur. but the last few days of trapping season, i was hoping not to catch another coon. i got burned out of skinning and fleshing.
time for the season change.
worked on the boat half the day on sunday. also got the .17hmr out of the safe.

was wonderin when u broke out the .17. Even saw the mighty whistlepig up here this weekend with the weather. a "welcome" site after last year's late spring. looks alot more hospitable this year...winter was hell, but the spring looks to be an early one here.
Havent looked to the boat at all, but between finishin 6 coon and the last 2 reds from the freezer, I got the fruit trees and grape vines pruned back...overdue, but done. Now on to everything else around the yard that's been neglected the last three months.:please:
