View Full Version : Can't kill 'em if your not out there.
I went and pulled my trail cam down a few days ago and found this picture. Saturday, September 20th, at 7:44am...8 yards from my stand. I don't think I would have shot him yet, he is a little smaller than what I want in Jersey but you never know when the time comes.

Looks only 2 1/2. Let em walk if you've taken better or dont need the venison!

Nice deer got to get one of those camera's:shoot:
I know this is old, and from last year, but I have developed a history with this buck now. He was a 2.5 yr old 8 point last year.
I have some pics from the summer and up until October, then he vanished. He showed up again in December pretty busted up. Could have killed him several times. I got well over 100 pics of him between December and February, in 3 different camera locations, many in daylight. He lost an eye and busted up a tine or two, and got a nasty scar on his back.

I started feeding them in one spot to see what survived and maybe find a shed close by. Got him at the feed too.

Here he is a little later the same night, with one less antler. Never found either side, and I looked here ALOT.

I have pictures of him in March with no antlers, but nothing since then...until this week (camera date and time is off by one month and one hour). He showed back up as a nice nine-point.

Notice the same view as the February pic above, with no right eye.

If he stays around like he did last year, and I have the chance to shoot him, I will.

Nice pic Doug. I like a history story when it comes to deer, I hope he grows into a wall hanger bud. good stuff.
