I wanted some more practive putting up canine before I chanced messing it up at all. I'm sending it to a tannery rather than selling and I wanted it as perfect as I could manage. The reds cooperated and gave me plenty of practice.
Fleshed him on the beam lightly..He had lots of body fat. Big dog for here. Stripped ear cartilege as far as I could (pretty much all) and pleated the back end like I've been dong on the reds.
Lightly dusted with borax around the fleshy portion of the head and around the arm pits. Less than a day flesh out and flipped. Held the ears open with some cardboard folded in a u shape and layed down with a fan blowing toward the head area. Inner ears were nice and dry within a few hours. Then pinned em forward. I know I didnt have to flip at all for the tannery, but I wanted to anyway. I didnt tuck the legs in, I didnt see a need on the yote.
It's been a couple of days. I think he looks good. Here he is with another batch of reds and a couple of coons I just took off.
Any criticism...let em rip. I wont be offended, I'm tryig to learn this stuff as best I can.
