Probably the last time I'll get out in northern New Jersey this year. Took a ride up to one of the WMA's in the northwestern spot and we managed to fly a few birds and connected to put two in the bag. Here are some pictures of our day. Birds were out feeding but boogied into heavy swamp cover making for some long trails through the woods and thick stuff. Dog worked well trailing them and I was pleased at the end of the day with birds in the bag. Lots of walking too. More rewarding when the hunt is hard for both you and the dog and your efforts are fruitful.
