If I go I will be solo. I know a few people from the BassB but most people I know are not going.

Someone said going to the Barnfest is like going to a wedding reception. Ya don't know anyone at the beginning of the party and by the end of the event your best friends with everyone and on the dance floor doing the chicken dance. Boy wouldn't it be horrible to meet up with a bunch of the big boys with the big boy yachts that just need a couple more guys to go out with them fishing the canyons, because their friends couldn't. Imagine meeting up with 4 or 5 more guys that want you to have to suffer going out to the canyons with them for tuna or marlin... plus the Barnfest is all you can eat, music, drinks and talking about your favorite past-time fishing and hunting. A whole bunch of people talking your language.

Been to a few in the past, good time, good company...for the most part... always a few exceptions though which is why I don't go anymore. That, along with the fact that my worst fears of what the information industry... along with pay to pass capt license courses & unlimited entry would do to our already over exploited recreational fisheries have been realized...unfortunately. I'd go if there were a separate buckbarn bash, I hunt private land :p and outfitters won't bother with the public bush in most parts :o Look, where do u live ARMED4BEAR I'm one of those guys with a big boy battlewagon there's usually xtra room on these days when we go. We dont go offshore nearly as much these days as it's not always worth the time & $ anymore but we fish for everything. Shoot me an email or lets set up a buckbarn get together.

Matt, A Buck Barn get together sounds like a terrific idea.I seem to relate more to the hunting crowd than the Bass Barn clicks although I fish a ton.

I have met more guys on here in one year than my 7 years on the BassB.

We have already spent a few evenings tipping a few, been goose hunting, dove hunting , coyote hunting and deer hunting with my new friends:thup:

As far as offshore fishing I have been pretty successful but my rig is only 25 feet.I have some long time friends who are strictly hard core offshore and they (best man in my wedding)share info with me.BTW none of these guys are on the Bass Barn they seem to be a bit non social lol

So if you ever need a SPOT BURN:razz: i would be happy to share any info

Got to add that I enjoy the BassBarn dont get me wrong.

BTW did you have a bad experience at the Barnfest? I'm still thinking of going never been but like I said above in my first post I dont know anyone going so I guess I will be standing in a corner. It would be kinda neat putting faces to the names though.Just a bit afraid everyone will be CLICKED up.
I went to a few BB social events around here Montgomery Co and it was fun Dudes like AJ Bruno ,BT3100 and the like were there so was Freshwater girl,Joe Ramono but I went with a gang so it was cool

yeah Ridge, hunters are a little more close knit group. You're not going to take someone hunting who's going to ask for the coordinates who's going to give them to all his buddies who are going to give them to all their buddies etc. etc. on up to the point where one of them goes and posts them on the internet, like an idiot

I left the last one I went to because of one infamous big mouthed barners baboon like antics towards me. There's another clown or 2 I dont' care to be in the presence of either. So, for that along with the issues the nets lent to that have turned the fishing and or the regs for most species into a shell of what it was 10 yrs ago which cant be argued, I dont care to go! Not that I don't like bbarners, all those you mentioned are cool and Ron is a great guy. So, dont let not knowing anyone stop you from going, you won't be standing in a corner alone long, you'll be chatting with others in no time.

Do you know BarnesX.308 he's always welcome to fish with me as is his buddy Joe D.

Yes I know Joe and Scott. Tried to get Scott a deer last day of the season a good friend has 20 plus acres up in Perkasie.Scott had me up his Cabin or should I say Lodge. Beautiful set up he's got.

Talk to Joe on a daily bases. We hunt with the same deer management association here in 5D / 5C.

I meet both of those guys threw the Buck Barn:thup:and we have become good friends

Hey MattG, I used to have a little bar down your way and know tons of people down your way. I live near the Southern Regional WMA office, down the block from Oak Pond.... (not the one in Woodbury Heights). I meet w/ my hunting and fishing friends all the time @ Happy B's @ Center Square in Swedesboro for Happy Hour... (Apple B's). Could do there sometime or will travel... My friend and I used to have a 28 Topaz w/a half tower and a half dozen other boats, now down to a 22 Mako out of Margate. I used to customize Yachts in Palm Beach for years with my friend from Mt. Royal. Glad to go out on or fix most any boat. I hunt and fish everywhere in Jersey. Somebody throw up a post on a couple places to meet, see if we all can come up with a place for a little BuckBarn meet up.

Sounds good ARMED4BEAR...You're not a bass barner too are ya? I only like to hang out with sportsmen, i.e. those who put conservation before exploitation and I'm already up to my quota in # of exceptions 1 :D for BarnesX.308 :p

Yea, I'm on the Bass Barn under the same name. I definitely do everything to support our sports. I buy all the licenses and stamps for hunting and fishing whether I use them or not. I went to the R.O.O.A.R rally, I sign petitions that need to be signed to support our sports, pass the info to all my hunting and fishing friends, research all topics etc.. I had a 8" spike Buck under my stand opening day of 6 day shotgun and let it go for bigger. 2nd day I had another 4" spike under the stand and again let him go. I could have limited out by 11:30 Tuesday instead I hunted til end of friday, came home with only pictures for the freezer. I fought 2 local townships to save a local lake and I'm known to get up in front of the town councils to solve situations. On the Barns and Elsewhere I keep my politics on the down low. Unless they get in the way of my outdoor fun. I only post knowledge and funnies. You can never have enough laughter in life. And, if I can bend the learning curve for anyone out there on a subject and let them learn something 10 years before I did to let them get ahead, Yea! I'm willing to learn and help anyone anywhere... Oh, and that little Bar I had down your way held 2,500 people... alot of people know me down your way...
