Just wanted to introduce myself folks. I registered today and am looking forward to contributing to the forums here.

I have a small farm in South Jersey and absolutely run myself ragged trying to pursue some of these mature pinewood ghosts.

Welcome Pigiron. So how about you run yourself LESS ragged and tell me where that farm is...I'll give ya a little rest and hunt it for ya bud. :)

Actually the small farm is my occupation. It's pretty much surrounded by state woods. There's no special hunting priveleges for me 20 point.:p I have to dive right in with some of Jersey's finest and grind teeth with the rest of em.

Hunting state woods certainly has its pitfalls, but in the past years there has been some pretty fine animals harvested locally.

My main goal is to find some of the most unforgiving places in Wharton State with plenty of buck sign and creep in like cat. If you can get away from the "parasites" you'll find the bucks. Even if I go a season without seeing a shooter, having peaceful hunts without being bothered or seeing orange makes my life grand.

...by the way, thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

Yea thats me, slow year for me 3 does, one missed 8 pointer. Chasing them with a recurve right now. Still getting buck pics but nothing big. How did your season come together after the early buck?

That early buck was it. I had some really nice bucks on camera throughout the season, but there're always nocturnal.

I'm looking forward to the next couple of weeks with the bow and arrow. The cold weather and being so late in the season sometimes will make those old greys move and feed early.

Good luck with that recurve.
