Has anybody ever tried them? They are wrap and vanes all in one. You just slide over the shaft and dip into boiling water. Seems pretty simple for a do-it yourselfer, but do they work:confused:.

I saw the commercials for them. I haven't tried them yet, but I like to out of curiousity.

I don't think the water should be boiling. Check the packaging. If the water is boiling, I don't think they work.

they cost to much and dont last as long as regular fletching but they are good for a quick fix i guess but wouldnt be a good permanent solution

Phil, you're right, it says "hot" water.

I haven't tried'em because for the amount of vanes I go through they are too expensive in comparison for what I can do it myself for. I do know someone who did buy'em and ruined the entire pack buy dipping them in boiling water. They didn't adhere correctly.
It wasn't until he was having trouble that he bothered to read the instructions and it said hot but not boiling water.

I haven't seen them in any of the catalogs this year, has anyone else seen them? Methinks they were not up to what they advertised.

I just saw them in the Cabelas Fall Archery catalog, that's what made me think of them. Maybe for a quick fix on a trip or something:huh: but who goes on an archery trip with less than a dozen arrows so why would you need to repair:huh: It's cheaper to just get your arrows refletched at your local shop.

I tried them last night on two arrows. The instructions say to use boiling water. The vanes are Quik Spins. I am shooting them through Whisker Biscuit and I saw no change in accuracy, in fact it seemed better. We will see after a month or two. They are expensive and I probably could have bought six arrows at Dick's, but I like my Super Slams. Even with putting glue at the beginning edge of the 4 inch vane, one would peel now and them.

There is Quik Fletch where the water should be boiling and Shrink Fletch where the water should be 180 deg F.
Quik Fletch has adhesive on the inside of the shrink tube. I don't know if the Shrink Fletch does have adhesive.

Just wondering, could you use a heat gun on low heat to shrink them to the arrow or do you have to use water?

For Quik Fletch water is needed for the adhesive to activate. Don't know about Shrink fletch.

Just ordered a pack of quick spins and a pack of blazer wraps. I know they are expensive, but I like my arrows crested. It is a pain to deal with paint dip or crest wraps everytime i need to re-fletch. I heard these vanes are very good. I'll report when I get them figured out.

i have used the quick fletch and the shrink fletch the porpouse of the hot water is to keep air bubbles out of the wrap. i love these things there quick and easy. I like the shrink fletch better because it gives you a little more time to work with them if you like a little bit of a helical on your vanes.

a guy at work tried them on his bow and crossbow but ended up taking them off. on the crossbow with the rail system they start to spin right off the bat and rubbed the rail leaving one side all black and he had a buskit rest that gave him problems as well.
