tried alot of boots w/gore-tex, eventually they all leaked, all name brands, danner, irish setter, rocky etc. Tried to all the right things, clean them, boot dryer but sooner or later they would leak. The last pair of danner pronghorns leaked during a rain storm, no walking in deep water, my socks were soaked. Thanks God for Cabela's they took them back. Same thing w/irish setter boots only it was in heavy snowstorm a couple of weeks ago, sent them back to the company. They stated that all gore-tex boots are only guaranteed for 12 mos. after purchase. I'm glad I kept the receipt.
I'm going to try the Muck boots, they've gotten really good reviews.
Any of you guys use them and what do you think about them?

Just got a pair of Mucks, the Wetland model. to replace my clunky heavy Field & Stream boots that started leaking after four years of light use. They are extremely comfortable light and small in outside profile. I took them right from the store and did deer derives in the Pines for three days in complete comfort. Only problem is the neoprene uppers retain scents - not acceptable for stalking or deer stand boots. They have a heavy rubber smell at first, then they smell like whatever they're exposed to after that. Ed.

One thing I will say about my mucks are scent and breathability. LOL They have 0, none, nada breathability, but I guess you get that with something that is mostly rubber. After a hunt when I take them off my feet are damp from sweat. I always have to put my boots on the boot dryer after I'm done. Also, with the zero breathability they hold scent bad. On the other hand they are rubber so the scent is bad (lol), but it dosen't come out of the boot.

Field & Stream, 1200 gram thinsulate, from Dick's. Inexpensive and work just fine, like any other rubber (Muck Style) boot.

I have the Muck brand boots and I'm hunting in a marsh environment where there are reeds and the neoprene area doesn't hold up well ,the reeds are cutting through the neoprene fabric areas ,but I just patch them as I would a pair of waders , there are very light and comfortable but I going back to a more durable rubber when these wear out ,I think if your out there busting brush you would be better off with a pair of all rubber boot IMO

Lacrosse Alpha Burley, just dont put them on a dryer when your done. The heat dry's them to quickly and seems to wear the glue out faster than it should. Good luck.

I finally wore out my Lacross and bought a pair of Muck Wody Sport boots for bow season. What a difference! WAY more comfortable! I ended up getting the woody Max @ a month ago for more insulation. Very comfortable, lightweight and they come off a lot easier than my lacross. They just don't seem "clunky" like the lacross boots. I am very pleased with these boots. I even got the SUV hikers for going to and from the woods.
I ended up getting the daily shoes and daily clogs for my wife, daughter and mom for Christmas and they love them.
I'm clearly sold on the Muck brand.

I accept the Muck cast boots and I'm hunting in a marsh ambiance breadth there are reeds and the neoprene breadth doesn't authority up able-bodied ,the reeds are acid through the neoprene bolt areas ,but I just application them as I would a brace of cassock, There are actual ablaze and adequate but I travelling aback to a added abiding elastic if these abrasion out.

Top Neck, I think you got something there. As for new boots, I just bought another pair of Much boots for this years hunting as I got a hole in my old pair this past year. 5 years of hunting and shoveling snow and they finnally started to come apart. Best boots I've ever owned.
