Well, last night I had to work and headed up to the hospital for my dinnerbreak to see my son. I passed a spot on the way back where I've seen this deer the past two years. I hadn't seen him this year, in part because I haven't really looked and because he really can't be bowhunted where he's at.
Low and behold, he graced me with his presence. I barely got a couple shots of him. I've got running video of him if anyon would like to see it i could e-mail. The vid is better than the stills! Believe it or not, this guy has atleast a decent shot of seeing another year class because of where he is. What a sight he'd be:bow:

AC...He's in a restricted hunt area. There's only a real short season open only to muzzleloader, and I dont muzzleload hunt....but If he sees next year, I will!
He knows the deal even with the hunt. I've seen this same deer since he was 2 1/2. Hes in a spot that he gets the heads up as soon as guys get in there. He's been through the game enough that I doubt he will be taken. He might get jacked, which would suck, or he may get hit by a car, though he usually doesnt cross anywhere he is at tremendous risk.
Any diehard muzzleloader guys here on the barn willing to head north, I could probably give some direction to here in 08 if they wanted some info or wanted to tangle with him. That bastage probably would welcome the challenge! If he sees 2009, NO ASSISTANCE WILL BE RENDERED BY ME. I will definitely devote my time to chasing just him!

Believe me I wish you could bowhunt there....but it's not gonna happen for the foreseeable future.
From Aberdeen you're looking at about an hour. But I'll be happy to offer some assistance if you're interested. It's a good hunt. The numbers are down, but you see the result in the deer. email me mudmarlin@lycos.com I'll give you the hunt dates. I think the application date is open still or atleast for over the counter if available.
ac...I'm not sure about the destiny thing. I seriously doubt I'll get a crack at him if he makes it another year. He's been through it and he knows how to beat the pressure...so far. I've targeted other deer in there before and it's tough, but cool. I am 90% sure it's the same deer though. That particular spot you normally dont see many deer. But he has persisted. I'M sure he has a reason...
