Went to an archery range and store and asked about a preditore and he told me that its the highest bow they sell with problems and that the comp. has a problem with helping people that contact them for help. Before I put 700.00 out to buy one has any one had any problems or know of any one else who has and what kind .Any information would help its the first time that i'v heard any thing like this . I own a 150 and had a 400 quad without a problem .So any thing on this new X/BOW will be great thanks for any info.

I own a barnett predator and knock on wood I haven't had any problems with it. It is a little loud but it's fast and accurate. The first croosbow I had was a parker cyclone, on the third shot the string broke off the cam.
A friend had the same crossbow and it broke three times.

My bro's blew up after about 25 shots. Appears the metal spring that holds the arrow in loses tension after each shot and if you aren't wary to bend it down enough after so many shots so that it continues to hold the arrow down tight enough, it can let the arrow come out a little or the string can go under the arrow, both of which cause the bow to dry fire and blow up. String flew off not to be found and one of the cams bent slightly (needs to be replaced) but the limbs appear to of made out ok. You just have to make sure you bend the arrow holder down some (use of pliers might give you a permanent fix) to ensure it holds the arrow in tight enough every so shots or so and you should be good. Other than that, it's a little heavier than most, but the absolute meanest one there is. It shoots a 22" arrow @ 455 grains faster than most shoot 20" arrows @ 425 grains. It's so deady it should be called a xgun not an xbow as no bow i know of will go thru both shoulders of a deer and if there's one next to it go thru both it's shoulders too. Bow, my arse it's so deadly and so easy to be proficient with a rest and scope and all and at distances it takes years of practice to be proficient enough with a bow to shoot it makes me sick that they allow these things in "archery" season now. Just another step towards hunters ending deer hunting by negating any reasonable amount of deer to hunt because the state has other ideas for public (and private for that matter) land and is using us like sheep to see thru thier agenda. Sad, sad stick to the bow!
