anyone know what state game land is between pocono exit and wilksboro exit ,its wright on the turn pike,both sides.i used to hunt it years ago with my father was wondering what number it was?thanks

east side is penns woods west side is hickery run state parks alot of nice bucks taken there but your not aloud to cross or clime over the fences but alot of people do. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

You will have to dig a little, but it is worth it, see the PGC maps of gamelands in NE PA here.

ON the map is various gameland #s, start by, opening a Google map etc.
try to judge where the area is,
back to the PGC maps page, below is a dropdown, choose the gameland # and your on the right track.
IF the area you mean adjoins a state forest, park etc, it may show it on the PGC map, otherwise open a new search, search the state park and its maps.

Note, some of the areas are under the DMAP program and you may be able to also get another doe tag there.
PGC site is not the easiest to navigate but with some digging you might be able to get what you want.

You've got SGL 40, 187, and 119 in that area. I hunted 40 a few years ago for preds. A good amount of deer sign there. It grew up pretty thick because of a forest fire a few years ago. SGL 187 is a nice one too. I haven't gone to 119. Sorry, wish I could help ya on that one. If you want the link to get topo maps on those SGL's I'll forward it to you if you want the help.
