Muzzy test question

Grew up in Pennsy took the safety course there. When I moved to Nj used my Pa tag and safety card to get Nj all sportsman tag. Would like a rifle permit. Since I never officially took the nj safety course do I need to take this before my rifle course.

I showed my PA hunter safety card, old PA license and current NJ license and sports authority sold me the rifle permit and muzzy tag.
