Hiking up the mountain last season a member of our hunting party stumbled and fell knocking his scope out of wack putting him out of the game for the day after walking 2 hours up . My question is , would you get in any trouble if you had a spare field barrel in your pack ?

long as you dont have a spare stock and reciever i would think it b ok.i know you cant have 2 guns but barrels i cant see y not, maybe id carry a slug barrel for open areas and reg barrel for buckshot,
You can carry two shotguns if you are so inclined, but not two smoke poles.

Is it illegal to set up a proper backstop and site the gun in with a few shots? Especially if you really think it's out of whack?
I fell opening day of rifle in PA, whacked my scope. Luckily it was on, but I thought about it all day and was wondering. I almost sighted it in on a bucket in the woods, but decided to let it ride. It was on when I did get back to camp early enough to shoot it.
