It has been at least 10 years since I have hunted in PA, and I am a little curious to who lives near the counties that me and my father used to hunt. We mostly hunted Bedford and Blair Counties! Does anyone hunt in those counties or live nearby that can give me a scoop on hows the deer hunting now a days? We killed a lot of deer back there, but I know how time changes everything! I am thinking of going back next year for a week or so but don't want to get my hopes up too early.. I do have a few relatives back there but none of them hunt..

Thanks in advance

The closest I can get you is Potter & Tioga. The hunting has been steadily picking up up there! And also the Bear pop. is really on the rise! This summer we were up at the camp & I can honestly say that I have never seen so many baby deer a lot of twins & triplets! And belive ir or not, one quad family! The last couple years have been like this!

I went to Penn State Altoona for 2 years and Main Campus for 2 years and hunted primarily in bedford, blair and centre county. Hunting really depends on where you are hunting. In centre county, I hunted the game lands and saw a fair amount of deer while bowhunting and I was targetting a nice 10 point...saw him twice but too far for a shot....next weekend, I will be bowhunting my buddies 150 acre property in bedford. I haven't hunted there in many 5 years but I know they really started to shoot a number of does over the years. If you put in the time, you can score on a nice buck anywhere in the state of PA now
