"The Hookers Buck" Kansas video

Here is some video from my bow mounted camera of the biggest deer I have ever been able to capture on film. I was out in Kansas bow hunting for over 3 weeks and came across this guy that I named "Hookers". It was also the first time I ever witnessed a buck mounting a doe in the wild, which was pretty cool!

hey rock, i dont know ya but thats one steady hand in that situation even if it was a camera. Nice buck, he would make anyone proud, I quess he was keepin it moist there in the beginning ( different creature same male attitude). BEST OF LUCK with him in the future.:thup::thup::thup:

It is just a regular Sony handycam HD. Cameras have come a long way since I started filming deer 20 years ago. Thanks for asking.

No gun season option Matt. How is your hunting season going so far?

Let go some 2.5's with the bow then went and shot one with the rifle 1st day :rolleyes: half decent 8 it was pushed by me, out 80 yds and bookin the judge and shot was instantaneous, had I got a better look i'd of passed. Got my 14 pt 08 mount back pics in the deer hunting forum. You'll get that 12 pt monster nxt yr bud!

Great video. Is video production your profession? If not maybe it should be. That is a polished piece of film work -- camera work, presentation, soundtrack, post production, effects, etc. Hope to see some more films in the future.

If I ever need a public relations person I will hire you, thanks for the compliments. Video production is not my profession, home improvement is. I just enjoy filming my hunts and sharing it with others. :D

Awsome buck and footage:) What part of Kansas were you hunting? I was bow hunting in Barber county from 11-6 threw 11-16. I shot a 150" 11pt and got some good video of a 170"

I hunt central Kansas and the hunting pressure was insane this year. I am looking into a different area to hunt next year. Congrats on your buck! Any pics?

We,ve been fortunate that we lease 5000 acres so we can control it for the most part. All we do is bow hunt the land. We,re concerned about all the tags they,re giving out now. I can,t wait to get back next november.23032303
