Slowed T-day

Slow morning. No wind, warm not much flying. Shot one drake blackduck and thats all she wrote.

I second that. Except I missed my one black duck. We actually saw lots of ducks. Alot of high flyers, none wanted to come in.

I never fired the gun this mornin' and had minimal shooting around me. I had NO ducks that wanted in.. I had geese flying around me before shootin' time. I had one group of geese interested but with the real ones off about 2-300 yards, my geese could not compete. And of course as I picking up decoys I have a flock come over the top of me at 20 yards :rolleyes:. This happened TWICE :nuts:. I loaded my gun back up but a third flock never came around. Rough day but I was better off there than my other spot. I drove by and the birds never even got off the roost.

Also doesn't help when people walk around aimlessly in the vicinity you're tryin to hunt..then can't help the urge but talk to you when they see you walkin' 'round in your spread..:thdown:

Oh well, get after em tomorrow!

hey bass i second that, hunted hard wed. out in the middle of nowhere! Every time i had birds come in their was always someone walking, i had more foot traffic out there than in my neighborhood! Two guys had the nerve to ask me if i got anything as i was hunkering down in my blind as a group of 4 was looking to get in, got so mad i picked up and went home.

was also out t-day had a guy bass fishing near my spread ... just packed up and left...good for him he was still out bass fishing this late but bad for us duck hunters it's been such a mild season hopefully some cold weather will keep people indoors and bring more new ducks to our area
