Now it is time for me to run far away from the woods before the armys of orange come shooting at everything that moves. Hey if thats your thing more power to you but I want nothing to do with it. I am just not into chasing deer and yelling. I like the peace and quite of sitting in the woods. Good luck to all you gun hunters save some does please just because they are unlimited doesnt mean they need to be extermintated.

Im going out first 2 days of muzzleloader than thats it until Christmas..I dont even like driving past the woods during the 6 day :eek::eek::eek:

6 day is fun for me, but sometimes my hunts are spent defending posted ground. with all the driving going on around me, i get new bucks wed., thur., and friday. i have killed more bucks late in the week then the first two days.

I could not agree more, I am not a fan of 6 day however if you have private land you can often score late in the week. I hate the aholes that shoot whatever moves. It gives the true sportsman a bad name.

I don't 6 day, but I definitely muzzleload every day that I can. I just don't feel safe in the woods that week and we've had some bad experiences with some clubs in our area.

the advance scouts for the orange invasion have arrived during the last week or so the woods roads and fire cuts are being torn up by quads.Trees are being painted so even the most clueless can stay in line on a drive.Truckloads of bait are arriving daily .Park police say they are to under staffed to patrol evrywhere even if you report the bullcrap they say they will look into it, nice way to say beat it iam busy .In three weeks itll be over and we can get back to normal except the paint and new trails will last longerthan that.Gotta love hunting on state woods.:thdown:

Using a firearm is fine its when you get 50 guys who dont step into the woods untill opening day and start yelling and shooting at everything for 6 days then dont come back out untill next year. Thats the part that I dont agree with.

so i guess we have to use a firearm AND a bow to be sportsman ?????.. i'll be up in hunterdon co. tomorrow looking to fill my doe tag. and yes it will be the first time stepping into those woods since last december. but hell ive been going to those same woods since i was 14

You can soley hunt with a slingshot for all I care....BUT when you trudge thru the woods with 75 guys yelling "yo Buck" and shoot at anything with 3" of horn....Than NO....I wouldnt call you a sportsmen!:thdown: spend some time in the woods.... put your time in.... not show up one week and push deer with 75 guys and call yourself a sportsmen! This I guess is entitled more for the club hunters! that type of hunting is not "sportsmanlike" hunting in alot of peoples books....And this is my opinion and the opinion of many! This is a topic much like religion and politics....It can cause some serious fights....Everybody has their opinion!
