H&R,

Lets try Guns and Ammo with this. Might get more play in that forum.

John Traut is a good one. He is the old timer gunsmith from Harry's army and navy on route 130 just north of the sportsman center. He has been there 30 plus years. I think he works out of his home now but is still employed by Harry's. He is very good at what he does!!!

There is also a guy in Somers Point which i use to refurbish my old side by side doubles. The name of his business is R&R gunsmithing. He has made new stocks for my guns on several occasions and can modify barrels too. He is also very good!! Hope this helps you out a bit!!!

The trend is always try to be an educated consumer...and here at Buck Barn, there seems to be a membership of educated hunters and sportsmen and women. The rules of the road are to always go to a Buck Barn Advertiser because these members settle for nothing less than the best in service.
Being a new member,I am not aware of the advertisers just as yet, however,I am aware of a Sporting Goods located in Hainesport New Jersey, just off the route 295 Mt.Laurel exit...between the Moorestown Mall and Mt.Holly, located on Route 38 in Hainesport,New Jersey. The name of the sporting goods and bait shop is MIKE'S and Mike has been in the business for many years remaining true to his customers with curtious service and detailed Gun speacialty repairs on new and older guns with an array of fine guns at a reasonable price.
Mike has established a fine reputation for repair work of the same. The paid advertisers are the first to visit, but also ,keep Mike in mind and keep em "Locked & Loaded" when in sight of that next Trophy showing off his rack!

Tight in the sight!

the problem my dad has is.
he shoots a mossberg 500. but he has a metal plate in his wrist and the wrist joint itself in surgically fused. so he cant bend or roll his left wrist to be in a palm up position to actually pump the gun. i was thinking maybe a pistol grip or looped handle under the pump forearm, where he could slide his hand through in the palm down position. making like a left handed salute motion when he works the action

The correct spelling is John Trout- he is in the phone book(Burlington Co.), and he does all types of custom work.

I think this would be best done by Hank Peters at The Way It Was Sporting Services in Moorestown. Hank takes great pride in his work and has always done great work on my guns. Call him at 856-231-0111, his shop is closed until November 1st, but I am sure he will jump on it as soon as you call.
