The weather shield is holding up ok. I have the Nikon omega 3-9x40 with the nikoplex reticle. It's not cheap but it's really good.
I am shooting 150grains of 777 pellets and 250grain hornady sst bullet.

I shoot one for hunter education now in Jersey and the thing is sweet!:D It has been shot a couple of hunndred times this year and it cleans up easy and I usually try a couple of shots each class and the thing is very accurate. I personnaly like the fiber optic sights but use a scope on my Omega so i guess to each his own. 1 thing I did notice is how that butt really absorbs all of the shock no matter if you shot with 50 grains or 150 grains they almost feel the same. Great handling, smooth shooting, and a lifetime guarantee to boot. ;)

I'm having a very hard time finding a bullet that will go down smoothly after the first shoot. I find this gun to be very inconsistent. Any more suggestions on a good load and bullet would be appreciated.

I am shooting the triumph, the load that I am using and have consistent shots with is 100 or 150 grain of triple 7 pellets, and 300 grain shock wave super glide bullets. The super glides have the yellow plastic wad. Hope this helps.

I also have the T/C Triumph and love it. I have the Nikon Omega scope and love that to. I use the 250gr T/C Shockwave with the yellow easy glide sabot and i have a little problem with loading a bullet because it is so tight so i have to put a little T/C borebutter on the plastic and it goes down a lot easyer . I use a 150gr on 777 and i can shoot at a 100 yds with most of the time getting as close as 1" groups :fight: but never had no less then 3" groups.

Have tried alot of bullets in the past 20 years of muzzeloading.
The power belts load great in my Knights and my CVA.
What I did and do not do now. is use two different bullets of the same weight.
I was using a 300 grain barns bullets for the first shot and the second shot was a 300 grain CVA powerbelt, with 150 grains of Select. Both bullets hit the same at 50 yards.
Now I use the CVA 338 grain for all shots in the woods I hunt in south jersey. I have some 405 cva bullets comming for free from cva to try, will probably stay with them. My guns are sighted in dead on at 50 yards, no thinking and can not see much farther than that in the wood I hunt anyway.

Sorry to get back to you so late but the power belt with the spear point is the way to go. Shoot your gun with loose powder and find the sweet load that gives you the tightest group. Might be 100 grains or 120 or 140, only practice will tell. The hollow point bullets are great but don't pattern as well and I've had a hard time putting one all the way through the deer. This is swell expending all the energy into the deer, but if they run you got nill for a blood trail if thier is no exit hole. Up side is I've only had 2 run away after the shot and out of those 2 one was only a 10 yard stumble so to speak. My $.02, power belt bullets.
