That sucks! Maybe they will be back for the ladder part, I would set a trap! put up a trail cam! Then kick the living crap out of them when you find out who they are!:shoot::yahooo:

It was actually a 28'ension ladder. The ladder was worth more than the stand. If I catch em there will be an unfortunate drowning in neshaminy creek!

Unreal ... public or private land fatboy?

I've been scouting some public land here in NJ and the spot I'm looking at is about six tenths of a mile from the parking area. The last two tenths or so is through some real thick laurels, than some briars down into a swamp. As much as I don't want to carry my climber that far through that crap, incidents like this make me believe I have to.

Private land. Looks like kids where riding atvs and found the stand location. It was pretty torn up.

I know what you're feeling. I had a stand stolen last year on public land. They took the stand but left all the screw in steps in the tree. They left their hacksaw laying on the ground. Now I hunt out of my climber. Take it in then take it out when I leave.

Sorry to hear it:mad: I can't even begin to understand the mindset it takes to be like this.

Bob, I was wondering why I didn't hear from you yesterday! That really sucks! If you have a trail-cam I'd definately set it up & try and catch the scumbags! That's the one thing that really gets me!!! I'll call ya today!

I hate that. I've had 2 stolen from me. A expensive lock on and a expensive API climber. I would love to find the guy and give him a piece of my mind.

That sucks, I wish someone would catch this POS in the act and tune him up good. My buddy had 2 stands stolen from him on private land last year. The good news is the detective who took the report is a hunter and found the stands along with about 20 others on some scumbags lawn with a big for sale sign. He inquired about purchasing them and then arrested him on the spot. I know people think its sometimes a lost cause to report the thefts but you would be surprised at the results. Hope you catch him, give him a left hook for me :fight:

I lost a climbing stick from one WMA, a set of steps from another and a stand and set of steps from yet another, all this year. State land in New Jersey is just great...wait till they add another 30,000 next fall.

I own land in northeren zone in NY about 4 hrs. away and had a stand and 4 apple trees stolen several years ago also near logging road and a POS trespassed onto my land with an ATV took every thing . I hate those machines even though I own one and you can't blame the bike never had anymore problems since closed all trails going through my land there not ROWs(right of ways) Just wanted to get that off my chest :fight::fight:

Very sad story, but a common one. I've had several stands stolen, and on private land, too. My stands are usually difficult to access, locked up, and I remove the first 4 screw-in steps, but nothing will stop a determined, stand-stealing little maggot. The punks took a chainsaw and cut my whole tree down (to get to a $40 lock-on). They don't know how lucky they are that I didn't show up and catch them in the act, because I'm a very big fan of frontier justice.
