whos going I am heading to lycoming co. with my 11 year old and my bro this will be our first bear hunt

I'll be staying in Wanye County and hunting Wanye, Pike, Monroe Counties. We're a full roster driving crew. Nothing, but driving nasty swamps from sun up to sun down. I infacted called a couple of my buds up their just to talk about this upcoming season. Everyone is really pumped about this year. They've been seeing A LOT of bear moving around. They so far know of one 400lber (around) and a 100lber (around) That have been using the same swamps consistently (they also deer hunt some of the areas also. I think we are going to have a record harvest this year. Their is so much mast crop that a lot of bears should be hibernating later in the year. If they are going to hibernate.

I was thinking the same thing they should all be out and about with all the acorns this year good luck we are in stands on both sides of a man made funnel made by loggers they left a fourty yd strip between two fenced in areas covering over two miles with this being our first time in the area we will hope the animals get pushed to our ambush more like a battle plan than a hunt:shoot:

Yeah Lycoming is a great county for bear. Deer hunt the area a few time not bad.

Those funnels, what are they deer exclosures?
