Paul,
Let me look into our camp. We were down to 5 members at the last count. And that was because of the elder guys. Las time I checked a full member was $16,000. But you can get in for just the dues every year and helping out at work weekends & paying $10 a night for a family when you stay there.
Let me ask the full members and see if they need more guys!

The camp is right in Gaines right off of Rt 6! Right behind the Bar that burnt down 8 years ago.

Capt Tim told me it all went well there on Sat. I was supposed to be there also but with Archery season open all my spare time goes to that.

No luck yet Paul. I'm staying out of the one area I hunt for a couple days to let them calm down. Then I'll hunt it hard again next week.

With the economy the way it is, I see alot of places going up for sale soon. I suggest looking up in NY State. I'll keep my eye out where I hunt in Sullivan County.

Hey archer101,
We hunt about 4 miles from each other, Im not far from the Coach Stop Inn. Have friends and family in the area. Don't know how you made out but out of 22 guy's in camp got one 6-pointer & one Doe. It really sucked.
How 'bout your guy's ? ? Been hunting that area for 34 years, been getting worse and worse since they started with the buck/doe season..

My club in WV still needs members. $550 for the year gives you access to 2500 acres. We will have a max of 20 members so there is plenty of room to roam.

so far this spring we have look at 3 cabins to on state land and one next to. we have also found so great lots next to state. we are considering one acre on pine creek directly across from camaal. the lot is next to state land so it is a home run being on pine creek and next to state forest. the only problem is the price 55k for one acrea upstate is pricey. we are waiting for the price to come down we have put in a low ball offer but nothing has came from it. if we do purchase this we will be building a hunting cabin and looking for members to help with cost. we are carpenters so building a cabin will not be do hard for us. ill post any updates if we can get a lot soon we will be ready to go for this upcoming bow season.

always people looking but untill you get to meet them its just talk and as far as a cabin you can get a travel home chep 3 bed rooms with room to expand and with luck get hooked up with a farmer if he knows the people next to him it can be better then game lands first make a meeting some where and go from there on here it will be just hopes and dreams take the first step and may be some of us older hunters are tired of the old type of gun clubs that tell you wear and how to hunt. bine there and didn't like it at least 3 times make a meeting and see what happens then get started like to see my self on a new place anyway best of luck and do it don't talk .:thup:send me an e/mail when you set up a meeting
