Took the day off to do some things around the house.
At 11am 5 doe came into the feeder behind the house and ate until noon.

Went back to fill the feeder and jumped a small 6 pointer bedded 20yds past the feeder.
Boy is he lazy!!

Like I said in a previous post. Deer move in the wind and light rain...

I agree to some extent. If there is no pressure which is obvious due to a buck laying right next to your feeder, then yes they will eat easy food all day. I really wouldn't make predictions based upon a feeder sighting. I am always consciencous about the wind directions and will make my decision about hunting a certain area, or even hunting at all. Wind will make or break us. Unfortunatey most of us don't have large tracts of land to make certain stand arrangements based soley on the wind movement. Oh well, I wish I could hunt farms like the Drury Brothers!

The same thing happens out back of my house. Deer come in, get a bite, walk back 20yds and bed. Get up hour or so later, stretch, and walk in to get another bite. This can go on all day. Cool overcast days like today are always good for activity around the pile.

I thought they were going to be moving during the day yesterday. that was not the case for me. But it could have been the swirling 10-20 mph winds.
