The other night at work I saw a real big coon hit right in front of a place I know well. He looked really good. Big boar. I did pick it up to work on skinnin and the damn thing weighed a hair under 20 lb. Guess the bigger boars are the first to start to prime.

Tonight I saw a pheasant of all things in my clover plot. No birds stocked anywhere near there, so how he got there I have no idea. I was thinkin' he wouldnt last long with all the canines there and about an hour later a red started working his way up the hill and I got to watch him get within about fifteen yards of the pheasant. He was more interested in mousing. he came right by me and I got a nice look. The tails have really filled out in the last two or three weeks. They're starting to look pretty full. wish I had the better camera.

Later season (prime) coons are easier. IMO. More fat the easier, but then more of a pain in the butt fleshing. Just wait till you get a coyote. Gezzzzz I know their will be people that disagree with me thats fine, but man those guys are hard to skin out and flesh. They have little fat on them and the hide is thin.

Maybe someone near by stocked a few birds to have their own lil private pheasant hunt. I saw 2 chucker one time crossing the road into Nockamixon one time.

MM-
I gotta send you a video I took a couple weeks ago. While in the stand (bowhunting for deer) I had a red come by and hunt down a squirrel. Unfortunitly I didn't get that on viedo, but I got him mousing. Just a cool vid to watch.
