Every fall we travel to the Northwoods of Maine and have a blast hunting woodcock and grouse. Then we come back to the jersey shore and have to settle for planted pheasant!!! still fun but certainly not the same. I was wondering if anyway was willing to share any spots in pennsylvania or new york. I am respectful hunter who hunts primarily for my dogs, and a bad shot too. So I wont be taking out a lot of birds lol but any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Colt45,
If you're a dog man, You'll realize how precious those coverts are to us. I do here that up north the grouse population is on the rise so it should be a good year. You may want to speak to the game wardens in the haunts that you normally hunt. You would be surprised how willing the wardens are to give information to true hunters.. I've gotten some of my best spots that way.. Good luck this year.
