Plaster that picture all over, your local sports shops, deli's, wawa....someone will know that piece of sh!t......its almost worth offering a small reward just to find out who he is and where he lives.......keep at it and you wil find out who he is....where was the camera located at? looks like a road....think about who lives near by and who would be walking that piece of property....print out that picture and put it up on the telephone poles in the neighborhood....Just look for the guy with the legs full of chiggers...hes in shorts and sneaks......hope he cant sleep at night....

His shirt says Seven Stars. I did a google search and there is a seven stars Inn in Cheaster co. My buddy is going there with his pic to see if he works there.

I also have 2 other pics that shows he had small red handled cutters for cutting twigs for shooting lanes.

He is a hunter

He may call himself a hunter but he's far from a sportsmen....You sound like you are on the right track...If he is a buck barn member and read this, Dude cut and dye your hair and get some glasses because it will catch up to you....

Definately show to the local police, they know everybody that doesn't want to be known:D I'm sure with morals like his, he's done more than just tree stands and cameras. Not the brightest bulb either.....come back and steal a camera, knowing you walked in front of it days before:rolleyes:

Good luck with it, keep us posted

Why didn't you buy a lock for the stand? Assuming it is a lock on?! I in every case, even at my house where I am in the woods almost everyday, put a lock on the stand and then I remove the bottom ten pegs so this will discourge them a great deal. Now as for the camera there is nothing you really can do. Sorry about your luck and I hope something good comes of it.

Had a stand cut down, after the ball bag couldn't get past my cable and lock... Ruined the stand but he didn't get it..... I hope he gets up in the stand and falls the hell out right on his damn head.. I hate that crap..

Hey hold on I know that guy Its Joe D.

Just kidding Joe D. give me a shout.

I had two ladder stands taken and they were locked up big time with motorcycle locks and screw gunned with 3/8 lags to the tree. They must of used a cordless grinder. No matter what you do if the personality of the person is a A/H they will get your stuff. The one ladder stand was 17' and all carbon steel heavy as hell.I used an ATV and trailer to get it way back in the woods. How they hauled all that out I have no idea.

Exactly right. If someone wants to take it no matter how you secure it - they will. I always wondered why some guys would go thru all the extremes of taking stands when they can just go to walmart and spend 45 bucks to hang one themsleves......

Has anyone here ever went into the woods and witnessed someone in the act of taking there stuff??

property owner catches two guys leaving his property with a disassembled full size feeder. It belonged to the one guy who had permission to hunt the property.

Too bad for them that the owner of the feeder happened to be around that night.....on duty. One guy beat feet. Other guy was located arrested and charged with theft..by the owner of the feeder:p

photo shop head! crop and drop.
Go to Lower Providence Township, Trappe and to Collegeville police dept and show pictures to them. Definately fill out police report to at least have record for file. If this guy is stealing stands he is most probably stealing other things. In the event they find him and search his home or domisile you will have a record of what was stolen from you.
Post the picture in Wawa, supermarkets and stores in the area.
One thing is be careful of accussing some one that only have pictures from last year looking at your stuff. Word your picture "Looking for person that "MAY" help in locating stolen personal property and equipment since this person has been seen in general vacinity numerous times." Definately offer small reward (25.00) for help.
I hunt many locations around this area and always use a climber. Heard a lot of stories from around the area guys geting stuff stolen. To many people trespass all over the place around here and snatch up gear that doesnt belong to them.
Good luck in finding the one who stole your stuff.

He must not have been an Infantryman. Hold onto a small tree so you dont dump on your boots or back in your drawers. Thats the funniest F'n thing I have ever seen. My wife thinks I am more of an idiot for laughing when she saw it. Makes me think twice about picking my spot when nature calls.

Joe,

I hate having stuff stolen. Yep - it sucks all right.

Last year I was walking thru Cedars and found a camera. It was gun season. I didn't notice the camera except for the fact that the guy had ribbons leading into his camera location. I was wondering what the heck all these ribbons were for. I ended up looking at his camera. Im sure it took my picture...

Of course I left it alone.

I actually discovered the owner this year. I was dragging a small doe out a couple sat's back and the guy was walking a road. I spoke with him over a half hour. He had 600 pics this year and I had zero (up till the 17th of Oct when they started hitting my pile)

At any rate, i agree with the police report method. Policemen get paid to figure this stuff out. If its the guy he'll show up for something else......

My question is - how in the world would having a picture on a trailcam give police enough evidence to even consider..... I know practically speaking hes the only guy in three years..... but legally - how would law enforcement say "Yeah - I think this guy is responsible for the missing gear since you had his picture two days earlier"

Dont take this wrong... Im just wondering what they would do with that info...

Even if they know who he is... Do they go up to him and ask "Sir, we have this picture - did you go back and steal the camera?"

It sure does suck though..

It was my treestand and have learned alot about pa law after this happened. Heres the facts, private land is only private if it is posted every fifty yards and the sign is signed by the owner. So the butt head did not break a law being on my cam on private land. (not posted legally). If you find someone on private land that is not posted legally you may take there license number and ask them to leave. They may stay until a state game officer comfirms they are on private land and then they have to leave. If they return to the property after being warned they are tresspassing. So put up posted signs in you back yards every fifty yds, or that new treestand over your birdfeeder is legal in pa if its 150 yds from the house. Now I know, now you know.
