Excaliburs are very good crossbows. Simple to maintain and very reliable. you have to decide if you are okay with the added width of a recurve, or would prefer the narrower compound crossbows. If you're trying to decide which one to buy, my advice would be to try as many as you can, and find the one that feels best to you...and gives you the features you want for your budget....

i have an excalibur exuinox and love it. got it at cabelas with a $150 off $500 or more coupon. super easy to use, light, comfortable, accurate, and you can change the strings in seconds. well worth the money. oh and the rating for it on cabelas speaks for itself

I have a exocet 200 model, and have no complaints. The added width I have no issues with. The other nice thing is you hear of no exploding limbs from the excaliburs.
