Does anyone know where there are populations of hogs,or any farmers having problem with hogs doing damage to crops?I understand NJ allows hogs to be take during deer season.I saw on the Discovery channel last night how ferrel hogs are prolific producers and are ruining farmers crops and doing damage to peoples property, down south they're over run with them. With the begining of a season for them,I think they are probably out of control already.

Only allowed in zone 25. Look up the wma for that zone & your in the hunt. The ones around on public are very noctural & very small, have at it.

last year the news papers said we shot them all. It's hard to find a parking spot for your car. they only move after dark. don't waste your time.

these hogs have been around for atleast 15 years they have been quietly controlled by local hunters over the years .this is not an out of contol problem these pigs made the mistake of tearing up the green of a locale golf coures their numbers were way over estimated .It was first stated that they number near 100 the division of fish and game put out warnings that they were diseased from scavinging road kill and not to shoot them or eat them they tried to trap them and i think they caught two .they then reliezed it wasnt going to be easy and said they were safe to eat and hunters could shoot them you just have to check them in at sportsmans outpost ther was only about 15 hogs to begin with i know this because when the state was trying to trap them they were hanging out in my yard eating at my feeder.i havent seen them in almost a year maybe the 4 that got checked in last season was the last of them:huh:

About 3 or 4 years ago a buddy of mine said he was having problems keeping corn at his one stand. Couldn't figure it out
Well one night he calls me up and says you aren't going to believe what I just saw....he said about 8-10 pigs came in and ate up every last bit of bait he had at his pile. He stopped hunting in that spot and hasn't had any problems since, but I'm sure there's more pigs than we or the state knows about.
I was on the White Oak Swamp WMA the other day and I found fresh pig sign.
