can it work?

I really just got into duck and goose hunting over the past 2 years. and want to have more access and not have to rely on my land spots (public land) I came across this old aluminum boat and went to look at it today. It is solid. transom is good, a few leaky rivets but that is expected.


Here are some pics, obviously needs a new paint job, and i'm going to fix leakes.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. As long as the transom is sturdy and it's structurally sound solid I would say "go for it". It sure loks like it has potential. Good luck with it.

Looks good to me. Actually looks like an aluminum sneakbox of sorts with the decked bow. How long/wide is it?

15' long... not sure on width..... 4 1/2 or 5

might be a little to big to hunt from as a sneakbox but should certainly work with a blind on it on bigger water. I'd double up that transom anyway just to be sure.

Just make sure you take care of anything cosmetic. Wouldn't want any problems if your out on the water God forbid. Certainly looks water worthy.
