My wife and I own a guide service and we use German Shorthairs and we are breeding our Black German Shorthair with a White and Brown GSP at the end of bird season.. If you like I can give you the blood line. She is the granddaughter of KC's Gun Smoke and KC's Rawhide Clown..

I can get you some pics and we are about 10 miles north of Morgantown PA. U are going to make this dog a hunting dog correct? I will not sell for house pets.. The bloodlines are too good to waste in a home.. Although our guiding dogs do live inside with our family, they are grouse hunters.

When we add dogs from other bloodlines we use Chesham's Kennels in Moline Il. We are very serious about our pointers and Mike Hambly(owner) is also. The female Shorthair was pointing grouse wings at 9 weeks.. The instincts in the dogs are fabulous. I can start the pup for you but the price does increase.

The black GSP are more common in Germany. You won't find too many in the US. Color is not guaranteed. There may be blacks and white and liver, any combination. There were only 2 blacks in her litter. Her and her sister. Her father was was a black Rhone(white feathering) The all black Gene was strong in his bloodline though.
I went out took some of her just now. She is at prime hunting weight right now... 46LBS..

That's how it always is. My older male, hates woodcock, probably cause they taste like mud. Hopefully hooking up for some woodcock come the migration. We'll see how we do. Briar (black GSP) loves everything with wings. If she sees a running bird, she starts to bark, to tell me what its doing. She's been doing it since she started hunting. I never taught her that. Figured it out one day in our favorite covert. She didn't have the bird's wind, but saw it scury awayy... She locked up and started barking at the blown down hemlock, it went under. Pretty cool. I still missed the damn bird though....
