just wondering if anyone uses these .i have been using a keller for past 10 yrs got tired of trying to guess distance and the pressure of picking wrong.i have good success with it.i may say it is a bit noisy but i dont shoot over 20 yrds.just wondering if there are better out there your happy with that has optic pin.the keller has a light but its worthless. if you turn the light on you cant see the deer in low light...THOUGHTS

Grt/wht, if it works good for ya keep useing it, but if you shoot a bow made in the last 15 years you shoot a fast enough arrow to not need to judge distances inside of 20 yards. Those Kellers are very loud. I want to shoot the quietest bow I can. The sound of the bow is what deer react to when you shoot at them. A loud bow will cause bad hits, because the deer will spring before the arrow gets there. I have two fixed pins one for 20 yards one for 35 yards. I will likely never shoot at deer out to 35 yards but it's there for hunting fields and a deer that shows no sign of jumpiness. I suspect that you not happy with the Keller anymore due to the question. My advise get rid of it and get a good solid fiber optic sight, you can find them for around $50, even cheaper after Christmas. The fiber optics will draw enough light to get you to the end of shooting time. I wouldn't change until after the season now though.

i still use my keller.
it is loud. i have the small limb saver shrooms to quiet it down.
i would hate to get rid of it. i shot too many deer with it. and the light has got me many deer.
but i'm slow to change, keller, xx78 2216's, muzzy 130gr 4 blades.
the deer on saturday didn't mind one bit. :D
when i changed to a drop away, i was wrecked for a season. but now all is well. i don't do well with change.

If you really do not shoot past 20yrds, I would definately switch to a nice, fixed pin, fibre optic sight. You do not need a pendulam sight. It would surely help you if you hunt from a blind as well.

.i have killed at least 20 deer with my keller sight . dont wanna have to judge distance.or buy a range finder for that matter.within 20 yards my arrow hits the mark.my son is now hunting hes 11. i have to walk out the yards for him and put markers out.i dont want to have to buy a range finder where under the excitement you forget where you ranged its just another step you have to take.the pendulum works perfect and hes only shooting min poundage was just curious what others use.i love the sight just wondering if theres new updated models is all thank you..:)

I shoot the savage pendulum and it has the fiber sight for low light , it is quiet and i range in at 25yds and have killed deer to 33yds with out a problem. I shoot a newer bowtech and i love my pendulum.
TruGlo with the Tritium Pin. Happy with it so far.

Yo Vinnie, I put those small sprinkler flags out for my son as yardage markers. The deer dont even notice then. I put yellow for 15 and red for 25 yds. There plastic and dont seem to spook the deer. just an idea... grade school, when ws that in the sixties. LOL

:wave:putting out flags, tape, sticks whatever is all the same you have to actually measure it out (close to it) maybe spreading scent.. pendulam climb tree, deer comes, it dies..lol thanx this was just a conversation starter thread.shamus is as old as i or if not older by at least 60 days...lol
