You will probobly get a better respone if you post this in the crossbow section. Most guys on here see bowhunting and crossbowhunting as two way different sports.

Plenty of Xbow users in here, thats why it's called Bowhunting.
Long BOW, Recurve BOW, Compound BOW, Cross BOW......
I've been reading for months about the crossbow complants, and it's realy getting old. I've been BOW hunting for 35 years and I've used them all.
Now I'm getting old and tired and Yelp, with a smile on my face,I'm gonna use a Cross BOW. I see pictures posted every day from people using trail cameras, a tool that tells you exactly when and where a deer will be, this is much more of an atvantage than useing a cross BOW, would you say that there just to lazy to scout anymore.. ( and yes, I use these also, 5 to be exact. ) and what about releases, and scents, and rangefinders, and lighted sights and so on and so on. get a grip, if it shoots an arrow, then it's a BOW !!!!!
Sorry for the b#%#ing, but enough is enough.......
Happy BOW Hunting everyone, and be safe......

was at the range last night and a guy was shooting one he had just got. he was there for about 5 minutes and his right limb exploded upon firing it for about the 4th time. i felt really bad it sucks to see something like that happen to someone. he said it was still under warranty but still im sure it put a damper on his season. after seeing that i don't think i would ever buy one

just to be clear I never said I was for or against crossbows. I was just trying to help you get the info you are looking for. I have been watching the bashing on many different sights since crossbows were legalized.

We really strated the crossbow threads because it's a new topic among hunters. Thinking it is going to be popular to discuss it got it's own thread (i.e Crossbows). Thats it really. Please feel free to discuss crossbow hunting and crossbow hunting success in the bowhunting threads. Hope this helps if their was any confusion.

An old supervisor of mine used a cyclone. It is a wicked crossbow. Don't worrie about the handling issue. It feels nice. I never personally shot it, but I handled it. He never had a problem getting deer with it either. I really like the stock and the shot limbs. The shortness makes for easier moving in the woods. I think they are good crossbows.
