yo buck thanks for replying,,
I was just looking for a place to hunt and i remember seeing some good woods on the way home from fishing down there ...
so I really don't know the roads your talking about.
I been doing some home work with maps and i like the area north side of 72 anywhere from 70 down to 9..
I was looking to see if it is really crowded down there ???
And maybe a head start on where good deer hunting maybe from someone that hunts the area,, I got my maps, and thinking of spending some time down there Friday to hunt Saturday and maybe next week.
I am coming from philly so its a hike but there is nothing close that i could find...

EDITED TO ADD
ok i just look at my maps and you are right on the money with the location , have you ever hunted that area

I would jump on 95 south and go over the delaware bridge into Jersey instead of finding a hunting spot off rt70 or 73!
Get off @ Pennsville Rt49 exit take 49 east and you will come into salem county... From the city you would be less than 1 hr.. Worth a shot.. Lots of big bucks

I was thinking that but isn't Salem county all privet?
is there any public land down there?

I was told I could hunt with a couple guys near fort dix, so Saturday I went and got the out of state lic just to get a phone call Sunday saying they lost there spot. and couldn't take me to there other place.
so I am looking for some public spots what are the names of the WMU's in that are so i can get a map or can you just tell me what zone to look for them in the book I got with my lic.
thanks any help would be a appreciated,, its just me and a 14 year old kid .I will not be taken a group of guys just us 2

PS

thanks again for the help, i hunt all over the country and have lots of connections for many different game if I ever can help you out just let me know

George make sure you spray down chiggers are like piranha off Rt72 good deer hunting..... FYI right off Rt 72 near the developmental center is the office of Brendan T B. State Forest they have maps of the area. Also check out Assunpink, Colliers Mills WMA (Central NJ) Assunpink is in Upper Freehold NJ Monmouth County and Colliers Mills is in Jackson Ocean Cty. I think assunpink is 7,000 acres and Colliers Mills is 13,000. Last year a club took a brusier out of Colliers Mills (one for the books) Best of luck

use to be in burrs mill gun club hunting were all those green acre signs are. chiggers were always terrible and the deer tiny. some nice racks but the deer almost look like some kind of crossbred deer. plenty of deer and even more turkey in those woods. lebanon state forest is right there the other side of 72 is all posted behind the wawa down to the colony.
