Rage broadheads has any one tryed them in a cross bow yet, some one told me that because of the force of the bow that they open when they leave the bow i have a barnett revolution. Just wondering

I know this is not the info you were asking for, But I did all kinds of tests on my crossbow this year.
The Slick Trick 125gr. 1" 4 blade standards fly as straight as field tip. The broadhead is so strong, the last deer I shoot, the head went through 4 rows of the spinal coloum. They are without doubt the best heads for a cross bow.

I'm gonna be using the rage too. I have a Barnett Predator. I have shot the practice points but not a broadhead yet. Going out tonight though so maybe I'll have more info for you by tomorrow. I also talked with the guy up at Sportsman center and he was saying that a lot of people are using the rage with crossbows and having no problems.

i didn't try rage but i tried 125 spitfires and they were extremely accurate. the only problem i had was a few angle shots being deflected. i coudn't rely on them for hunting so i decided to go with fixed broadheads. i tried 125 hellrazors, 125 slick tricks, 145 muzzys, and 150 exc. boltcutters. hellrazors were the worst for accuracy. slick tricks were very good up to 30 yards but i think if i could get them in a heavier grain they would be better. muzzy 145s were awesome and gave me very good groups. the boltcutters although expensive are absolutely unreal and shot the most accurate (other than the mechanicals) and had the best pennetration. the boltcutters hit so hard that they punch through my block and sometimes the 150 grain head rips the insert right out of the stopped arrow and smacks into my shed!

wow...
LOL I was at sportsmen center and my guy told me he had heard of the problems with the rage heads.
I have used aero rocket heads and loved them.
I went to the nap spitfires only to get the extra cutting diameter, I have not had a problem with either.

I have a ten point cross bow and use the 100grain 3 blade rages. I shot an eight point already and could not believe the hole they put in the deer. Have had no problems with them so far.

I AGREE WITH THESE STATEMANTS, EXCALIBER BOLTCUTTERS ARE THE REAL DEAL.

Slick tricks are my head of choice from the compound. We have sold a ton of them to the new x-bow hunters with almost 100% success. I dont shoot a x-bow but we sell alot of them, and get alot of feedback from our customers and some have had decent success with rage through the x-bow but most have had the heads open in flight and not hit their mark so I wouldnt suggest them to anyone. But then again I wouldnt suggest them to anyone for a compound either. Not a fan of rage heads... to many faults to take into consideration...

..According to the folks at Rage...they have tested their heads out of the Strykeforce XBow from Bow tech which shoots bolts @ 385 fps. They say rages did not open! However, i rather not take this chance. Friends also have them open and have the o rings slide around when in their quivers. However, they do make tremendous holes in deer. I personally do not want to worry about these things as there is enough things that can go wrong when hunting!...i use a fix blade with no problems. (thunderheads 125s)

I use 2 blade RAGE with my Barnett Xbow... Killed 2 deer this year and neither took a step... They went down immediately with a shot right behind the shoulder...

I went to slick tricks 2 years ago and will not shoot another broadhead. It is incredible how accurate they fly. I double lunged a doe at 57 yards this last season with all the confidence in the world of making an accurate and clean kill. Nothing comes close in my book.

I have had a couple of friends try expandibles on their X-bows and they had problems with them opening on release, one friend shot a buck and the broadhead never opened. Luckily the buck was found.
I shoot a barnett predator, using G5 striker broadheads.
