This was a completely intact roadkill in pretty good shape at 7:00 pm friday. And this is what it looked like at 7:00am this morning. Less than 12 hours! It had been lying on the north side of the roadway and at random times during the night it was actually dragged into the lane of travel on the opposite side of the roadway. Anyone wanna a venture a guess as to the dining party??? We saw it hapening all night, so we've got a good idea of the only participants. (ssshhh UB, redneck)

Tracks were like this in a tweny yard circle around where she was dragged around. Entire cavity was emptied. From the back end by midnight and then the front quarter was opened up by 3:00am. They made short work of her after that....

DING DING DING Come and get it! Yeah looks like coyotes. You know it's a science figuring out what killed what. Maybe coyotes they typically tear the carcass appart and spread it everywhere. In that sceond pic are those paw prints in the double yellow lines.

Wasnt ol20 LOL!
Redneck, chest was not opened up at all from the accident...they opened it after midnight. Normally they only open up the a$$ end,i was surprised they got the ribs opened up.
Thought more guys would bite....shoulda put a poll out there. WOulda loved to see the results.
Believe it or not, was NOT yotes redneck. That was entirely fox, and the reason the tracks are so small. That's the reason I posted it. Man, it sure would look like yotes doing that kind of damage dont it? I know I'd assume it was yotes if I shot one and found it like that the next morning! Those reds were on it all night long. Last night, I saw as many as three big ones working it over at one time. It's nothing more than bones and hide now. And lots of fox tracks.
They would run away when we drove by, and if you stopped about fifty yards away, they would run right back out to the carcass and start yanking away on it and draggin it around. I have no idea how many different dogs were on it in the course of the night, but there was atleast one there at any time all night long...12 hours of chewin and all by fox. Wouldnt have believed unless unless I saw if for myself.

that is a lot of damage for reds. it must of been the weak spot. maybe from the car impact? i agree it's normal for them to start at the bung hole.
so you know bait stations work well up you way. in febuary i have a felling you'll be lugging road kill fawns all winter.
