Where can I get good flints at online and which flints do you guys think are best and why?

I've had good luck with English flints. I do not like those pretty manufactured ones. Sorry, I dont have a specific online site. Try Muzzloader.com, Dixons store in Kemptom, PA. If anyone is into caps or flins- that is a candy store for true muzzloader rifles. And their July riflemakers fair is awesome.

Well I will try to look them up and find out about the fair for next year. I'm going to perfect this flint lock thing to the point that I can harvest a deer with it.

I agree with IMR about the English flints . They are all I use anymore,but you have to have a hard frizzen for them to work right .If you have the right frizzen I have used one flint all season. What type of gun do have?If you have a T/C you might want to get you Lyman frizzen .T/C's have been known to not to be harden enough.

English flint is listed on E.by. Thery're worth about $2 each if you buy good ones. I've used L&R locks for years. They're great. Agree that Lymand also has a good one.

I use English flints , I understand they are the best you can get (white in color) if you can't find them before opening day you can come down the pike and get one. :thup:
