i dont c y not a deer is a deer brown piebald taste the same . they say its a jinx to shoot a pure white deer but:thup: i know a taxidermist dennis sederio who has a full mount in his studio and has killed numerous more deer since. funny though i saw one this past week also where i was hunting it was to far and a seemingly total white deer when i was walking out of woods across field.

The kicker behind albinism and even half albinism (piebald) is it is a genetic flaw. Many times albino's suffer from poor respitory, weak heart, they're smaller, sometimes blind, death. Their are those deer that do have a gene and those symptoms don't affect them. It's a lottery with genetics. I've seen one pieblad doe and one piebald buck. The buck I think was poached. He was a big 8pt. He just dissappeared and I never heard anything from anybody in the area that got him. We all think he was poached. In Pa it is legal to shoot an albino deer or a half albino deer. Other states laws are different (example Wisconsin it is illegal to harvest an albino deer). If anybody wants to see a pick of that big 8pt half albino I have a trail cam pic of him on the share your hunting pictures thread.

I would shoot one without hesitation. It's not like some mythical creature like a unicorn. It's just a deer with white hair. :D

I have a couple running around my spots 2 doe at one spot and one at another. both spots hold alot of deer and both spots land owners love them. so risking losing the spots i let them walk. if i see one where i don't have to worry about that i'm shootin'
