I picked up an old Hoyt Spectra Eclipse. When I got it, it was set to the highest poundage (80#). I turned it down to about 65# and then there was a creak coming from the top limb were it attaches to the riser. I sprayed some WD40 in there and it didn't seem to do anything. Can this be fixed?

Absolutely but remember most bows perform best at their highest rated poundage. Bring it to a good bow shop soon. I think one of our local guys Dave Bowers is setting up shop in Gibbstown. Ub1243 will have a contact for ya if you need help.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll take it to a shop, I need to have it re-strung too.

Hey, just wanted to say I took my bow to Little Bob's Sport Shop and had the creak taken out. I finished setting up the bow about 2 weeks ago and even though it only has 35% let off, man does that old Hoyt shoot nice.

Thanks again for the help,
Rod
