I agree...IF I have my hands free I will always grab a long stick and hold it out front as I walk so as to not get my face webbed! When I carry 100lb's of corn on my back I am kinda beat!:yahooo:

I would rather it the webs then the chiggers. Worst part of fall bow is the chiggers.

whats everyones peeeves bowhunting?

i always seem to leave my easy hanger in the tree. hang on or with my climber. left one out tonight.

i walk in without a hat when it's hot, i find so many cob webs it's like wearing a hair net.

my big peeve is touching anything bear handed. big no-no. i have been busted more times by making contact with one twig-bare handed. i've had deer walk right up to that one twig and blow. or had deer find that one leave that i plucked from 25' up and let drop to the ground.
i'm like a friggin contourtionist going down a trail.

Spider webs are pretty far up the list.

I guess sweating and/or the bugs are at the top of mine.

OMG I hate those spiderwebs!!!!!!!!! Walkin in the woods and get a big face full of a spider web. Then the little bugger crawls all over ya. YUCK!!!

I awlays being prepared for anything is my peeve. I always make sure I have anything and everything for any situation. Suxs cause then you got all this gear. Sweating is another one of mine. I try very hard to minimize my sweating but it never works.

Oh yeah here's a lil hint to all future and young bowhunters. Always get your gear ready early. It's 10:30 the night before eary archery season here in SE Pa and I can't find my broadheads!!!!! I'vbe had the practice broadheads in my bow case and been practicing with them for a while. I know I've got an unused pack around here, but I can't find it. AGGGHHHHH this is gettin aggervating!!

It's funny, I actually like the spiderwebs:eek:, because on state land where I hunt, it means that no one else has headed in toward my stand;)

The thing I hate are the damn hawks. 3 or 4 times each season, they spot some small movement, like me scratching my leg and they come flying in expecting to bag some little critter. I wind up raising my bow or waving my arm to scare them off at the last second. I always hate it when they land in a tree nearby, I try not to look at them, cause they seem to focus on my eye movement and I can tell when its coming because they stare right at you. Anyone else have this problem?

Also, the robin migration. Noisy bastards always show up at prime time.

i'm so used to them, i don't notice them anymore.
robins don't fly south, they change their habitat. they stay in the cedar swamps in the winter. in january when the suns warms up the oaks, they leave the swamp and feed on the holly berries. it's stange how they key in on one tree but not the other. i always thought they went south. but i've have seen them on my piece for 11 years doing the same thing. they never leave, just change.

They do have strange migration patterns, based on food. Some stay, some don't, check this out... http://www.learner.org/jnorth/tm/robin/ConfusingMigration.html

I'm on a piece in the far south of NJ, bordering a huge expanse of meadow. What ever they are doing, migrating or just feeding patterns, they congregate by the thousands and every evening, they fly across the meadow and hit the edge that I'm on, filling the trees and chatter like a crowd at a football game....can't hear a damn thing during there 20-30 minute rest stop:( Kinda looks like this, but much worse

All time worst has to be getting to your stand and looking up only to find it's not there! Not sure what I'd do if I ever catch one of those little .......:fight:
The rest of that stuff is all part of being out in the woods. Come March I'll wish I could be out there hunting with my bow walking through the spider webs.
