View Full Version : Beaver destroying my deck!

Looks like we have a beaver using my deck at the mountain house for a meal! He's been chewing on my steps but at first I didn't know what was doing it since I had NEVER SEEN or knew of any beaver in the immediate area. :huh:

I got thses pics recently and the second one sure looks like it's a beaver! I now have a cam directed at the deck steps to catch him in the act. :please:

OK guys...how do I GET him or get RID of him??? I don't trap or have any of that kinda stuff.

I would contact PGC and show yhem pics...maybe they trap em???? i dont know over there.

find his dam, disrupt it he will be there that evening to fix it then a lil buck shot... thats what i was told anyway

Any know: What is a beavers normal core area distance? :huh:

thats a good question but i didnt think they get to far from water.... i guess if there stream dries up they have to move tho.... i never heard of a beaver doing something like this i would guess a porky pine if they are in the area but the pics sure do look like a beaver.... wierd

I had suspected a porcupine too until I saw pix of that dang beaver. :fight:

I do have a trail cam set up now in front of the deck steps. I'll be back up in two weeks to see if we have captured the culprit on film! :cool:
