What is the proper way to measure your arrow length (not using an overdraw)? Is there a specific number of inches that it should be in front of the rest at full draw?

Joe, ideally your arrow length should be 1" in front of where your arrow sits on the rest prongs. Never less, but you can get away with more...up to 1 & 3/4 in front of where it sits on the rest which is IBO. You measure arrow length from the bottom of the knock groove...where it sits on the string to end of the arrow, excluding tip

Becareful doing that when it comes to broadheads. I use fixed heads (montec G5's) and I'll cut my arrow right where it ends at the riser.

I like mine to be 1½ inchs in front on my rest. Most archery shops have a bow there to test your arrow length.

There is some excellent archery information on the WEB. To answer your question, first enter "draw length" in your browser's search engine then, do a search on "arrow length".

An inch is about right. I dont like anymore. Much less and you can have issues when your string and cables stretch.
