Has anyone here hunted with this thing called a tree sling? I for the life of me cant see how hanging from a harness tied to a tree is comfortable. It has to make your legs numb, not to mention i guess you have to use lineman spikes to climb the tree??? And once you get to where you hunt and manage to get up the tree, what do you put your feet on to hold yourself up? Tree steps or something?

Please let me know how this works. I read an ad today that said great for all day sitting. I cant see it.

Rev, I think most guys use sticks to get up and the put thre pegs around the tree to let them pivot around the tree. I put some thought into them last year but I'm not changing now. I think they might be the cat ars for short sits before work if you like to move around alot. I can't see a big guy like you being to comfortable for long though dude.

yeah i cant see it either. It just seems to me to have too much movement. If you put steps up why not just hang a stand? I guess there is something for everyone.

Some of the guys in the local club use strap-on steps and the sling for their standers. You are up the tree for 30-45 minutes, and as they tell me - nothing beats being 6-8 feet in the air when the drive gets to you. It also gets you out of 'the line of fire' should the drivers touch a few off in your direction and the drivers can see you better.

When they get to 'the top' they strap on two steps, one on either side of the trunk for stability.
