I applied in New mexico for elk, mule deer, ibex, and antelope. I did not draw any of these tags. Utah for sheep and mule deer...nada. Bonus point in Iowa for deer. Bonus point for elk in Colorado. Bonus point for elk, dessert big horn, and deer in Arizona and I forgot to apply for Maine moose for the first time since they restarted the nonresident hunts.
The only thing left to draw this year is Kansas deer. Cross your fingers for me, I need it!

Looks like you'll have alot of time to hunt at home! Good Luck with the Kansas drawing.

Wow - I thought I had some bad luck this year not drawing elk or oryx in New Mexico but you really had no luck - good luck for Kansas - and on the bright side look at the money you will be saving so you can apply for even more hunts next year.

Rocky-
You should draw Ks deer. Pretty much all non res everyone who applied last yr did.
Maine- If you miss ONE year applying you lose all your accumulated bonus points!
Arizona- Why did you apply for bonus pts instead of the draws?
Colorado- Since you have Co elk pref pt(s), If you need a good reasonably priced outfitter with great success rate, I know of one.
Personally this year I'm 0 for 10 in the sheep draws with 2 state's draws remaining and 0 for 1 in the moose draws with 3 remaining draws.

Funny, my wife did not draw Kansas last year. They did up the permits this year and the hunting is going down hill on the public ground unfortunately.

That SUCKS!

I drew a elk tag last year (After 13 years of appling) and smoked a nice bull with my bow. I have the video on utube. I just started applying for mule deer this year and went for the bonus point. I also have 15 points for sheep in Arizona.

This was the first year I applied for a bonus point in Colorado.

Good luck with your draw Brother. It seems we are both chasing the same dreams. Send Pics!

Bummer.
I just checked the Maine IFW website. No moose permit for me again this year. I actually searched all the winners and there were only 12 from picked from NJ this year. Oh well. Maybe before I die? I'm not betting on it.

Unami- Sorry to hear your bummer news.
None for me neither, 11 yrs in a row.
Plus none in NH or NB.
Still hoping for one of these years.
(I have a Shiras, A-Y, and western canada moose and would like one from the northeast.)

Ahhh, the luck of the draw!
Is she looking for a outfitter to assist, in what zone?

She drew zone 11, the same zone she lives in. She lives in a very small town just South of Houlton called Orient. Her property is actually part of the US border. She doesn't remember who she put down as the sub permittee for the moose hunt, me or my step father. The good news is....I just might be doing a moose hunt this year.:D

I hope you were the subpermittee!
If not maybe you should go up anyway and help on the hunt.

Contact Maine Fish and Game and tell them they owe you one! ;)

I just got off the phone with the Maine Game and Fish and they informed me that my Mother only put down my step fathers name as a sub-permittee. She had the opportunity to put two names on the application but only put down my step fathers. You are unable to change it now. So much for getting my hopes up.

Too bad. Head up anyway to go on a moose hunt and help them!

Apparently all non residents who applied in Kansas will receive a either sex whitetail permit. It is kinda stupid to have a draw lottery then give everyone a tag. They are really screwing up any quality public hunting that was left in that state. The all mighty dollar always seems to win.
