After shooting the g5 4 pin for two years, the veritcal pin thing got my interest. So I ordered a trophy ridge micro alpha v5. First opening it, I found a well made sight. But the real deal is how it works. Mounting was eazy, and getting it shooting great groups at 20 yds(top pin) was spot on. Now shooting with pins comming in from the side my whole life, the vertical pins were not comfortable at first, past 20 yds. In fact I hated the sight, after two days. But the veiw was so clean, I decided to give it two weeks to get use to it. Every night I have shoot 50 arrows with it, getting use to bringing the spot on the target in from the side rather than up and down. Third week with this sight, And the review is I love it. Don't know why this idea has not come along till now. I am now shooting 4 inch 50 yd groups, and before 7 inch was a good thing. So I give it the better mouse trap award. But it is not out of the box better it takes getting use too. But when you do "learn it",it is %100 better. two thumbs up.

I was thinkin of changing my set up this year. Was thinking of going with The viper 2000 sights and either the qad drop-away or one of the trophy drop aways. Still gotta think about it some more. Right now I have the muzzy zero effect and copper john dead nuts sights on my Mathews Switchback XT.

copper john dead nuts, is a great sight. I went to a G5 4 pin, and should have keep the copper john. But it lead to the trophy ridge in line one I have now, new review is, still love it,best sight I ever shoot, but, Yep, theirs a but! Lock tite! Had to lock tite every screw. I shoot alot, 50 -60 shoots every night at least. Screws were working loose. lock tite fixed it. It still gets a 5 out of 5 rating with the extra work. I shot a 291 and a 288 out of 300 the last two weeks at 3-d shoots. I was a 270 steady shooter before I got this sight. It is also the brightest sight I have ever shot. almost to bright.
