It happens man. It's a sign. A bigger buck awaits you! Carma is everything! LOL
One of the biggest bucks I every had a chance at was during late archery season here in SE PA. If anybody has ever hunted late archery season you know what I'm talking about. Your chances are slim and none at getting a deer let alone see one. To make a long story short saw a MONSTER 8pt (140"+) coming right at me. It's 15 degrees so I'm using heat packs. I take the pack put it inbetween my legs to hold. Right when I draw back the bow the pack falls out from inbetween my legs hits the stand and then hits the ground. He took off like you wouldn't believe. S**t happens man. I know how you feel.

Did this the first year I used a climber, glad it was a doe and not a big buck. As said earlier, you will never do it again. Hard lesson to learn.

I say you won't do it again from experience :)
Though I never got the shot off. I whacked my bow on the top of my climber while turning to get a shot two years ago ... learned from that.
